Learning Technologies

Learning Technologies

Saskatchewan Polytechnic has more than 200 online courses, and increasingly programs are taking advantage of technology-based solutions to supplement, and even flip, the traditional classroom structure. Learning Technologies has increased capacity in order to support these programs as they implement new, user-friendly technologies.

What do we do?

We produce multimedia, interactive learning objects, and video to help make learning materials engaging and meaningful for students.
We can teach you the tools and techniques that you need to create an effective and efficient learning environment.  We also consult, train and support faculty in the use of technology for teaching.
We help to design and develop online learning materials.

We evaluate, plan and help implement new technologies with individuals, programs and across SaskPolytech.

We administer institution technology solutions, including our learning and video platforms. (A new, super-easy-to-use video platform is coming soon!)

We pull together all the resources and personnel needed to develop a course from the initial stages through to completion.

We produce electronic and print-based documentation (course manuals and more).

How do I...?

Please contact the project manager, Marnie Knelsen at marnie.knelsen@saskpolytech.ca, if you would like to create a completely online course. Marnie can guide you through the entire process from funding proposals to a completed product.

There are several ways to obtain technology training:

You are invited to provide input about your educational technology needs to support planning to enhance instruction and business operations. Please also inform Nicholas Crosby at nicholas.crosby@saskpolytech.ca  about innovative educational technology practices so they can be shared with our Saskatchewan Polytechnic community
