Get credit for what you have learned in the Canadian Armed Forces as a regular or reservist member. Documented military training may be recognized for transfer credit or PLAR credit toward a Sask Polytech credential.
Examples:
- PLAR and transfer credit
- You may PLAR any or all of the 12 core courses plus two elective courses within our Human Resources Management certificate.
- Supply Tech to Parts Management Technician certificate:
Fully online - Credit for up to 7 out of 27 courses (MGMT 189, PART 178/179/196/198/199, WORK 198). - Supply Tech to Warehouse Worker certificate of achievement:
Fully online - Credit for up to 2 out of 6 courses (PART 178/198). - Any Occupation to Leadership Skills certificate of achievement:
Fully online – Credit for up to 4 out of 6 courses. - Any Occupation to Innovative Manufacturing diploma:
Hybrid Model - Credit for up to 4 courses (Mat Tech/Weapons Tech can challenge courses for more credit). - Any Occupation to Blue Seal certificate:
Fully online – Credit for up to 8 out of 10 courses.

Are you (or will you be) eligible for an Education and Training Benefit from Veterans Affairs Canada?
Veteran Affairs Canada (VAC) has Education and Training Benefits depending on your
years of service. Courses must be approved by VAC. Students are not eligible to receive
money for courses you have already taken. Learn more about the Education and Training Benefit.
Is a Sask Polytech program equivalent to CAF training requirements?
Sask Polytechnic is working towards having our programs assessed for equivalency with
the Canadian Armed Forces – Accreditation Certification Equivalency (CAF-ACE) program.
