I’m excited for the opportunity to serve as interim dean.

Biography
×Kelly Maddin
With 27 years of experience in education, Kelly has dedicated his career to teaching
and leading in various settings, from reserve and rural communities to urban centers.
With his various roles, such as teacher, high school principal, academic chair, associate
dean, and interim dean, he has always strived to serve the needs and interests of
students, staff, and faculty. Kelly’s passion is ensuring learners and employees reach
their full potential through exceptional programming and experiences. Kelly brings
a coach-based approach to leadership. He believes that education is a powerful tool
for personal and social transformation and is committed to making a positive difference
in the lives of others.
With both the literacy and adult education and the arts and sciences under Kelly’s
portfolio, his knowledge, understanding, and awareness can support students in achieving
their goals of entering the labor force, advancing their careers, or increasing academic
knowledge.
"I am privileged and extremely thrilled to lead the newly formed Faculty of Digital
Innovation, Arts and Sciences,” says Kelly, "It is a diverse group of programs serving
many of our community's greatest needs. Providing academic upgrading, job readiness
training, exceptional arts and science classes, and cutting-edge programs in artificial
intelligence, cyber security, cloud computing, blockchain, web development, and other
technological careers and innovations is something to get really excited about. It
is a time of transformation, and we are excited to walk this journey together."
