2,000 students eligible to cross the stage at Regina convocation ceremonies and become new alumni
June 2, 2025 – More than 2,000 students mark a major milestone as they graduate from Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
The ceremony celebrates the Regina campus class of 2025 and honours outstanding award recipients. Graduates are stepping into the workforce equipped with skills to make an impact — one out of every 19 jobs in Saskatchewan is supported by the activities of Sask Polytech, its students and alumni.
“It is an honour to celebrate our Regina campus graduating class of 2025,” says Dr. Larry Rosia, Sask Polytech president and CEO. “Their dedication and hard work, backed by the applied learning and the skills they developed in their time with us, makes them ready to meet the moment – to step into the workplace and tackle challenges head-on. Congratulations, graduates! We could not be more proud of each one of you.”
Congratulations to the Regina campus award recipients.
Camille Cousyn, a graduate of the Dental Hygiene program, received the Outstanding Citizenship Award.
As co-founder and president of the Saskatchewan Dental Hygiene Student Society, Cousyn fostered community among 75 Dental Hygiene students by organizing monthly events and leading impactful community initiatives. Under her leadership, the group raised over $1,000 through fundraisers to support the Regina Food Bank, Saskatchewan Oral Health Coalition and Sask Polytech’s Health and Wellness Day.
Lee Campbell, a Culinary Arts graduate, and Mackinlee Brisbin, a Psychiatric Nursing graduate, both received the first ever Reconciliation in Action Awards.
Campbell shares his Indigenous culture through volunteer work at the Indigenous Centre, teaching cooking skills and fostering community partnerships. He led initiatives like preparing meals for events, donating food and participating in land-based learning.
Brisbin demonstrates a deep respect for Indigenous cultures through a commitment to cultural education and practices, including learning Cree, engaging in smudging ceremonies and embracing traditional teachings. She advocates for culturally competent care and encourages peers to meet patients with empathy. Her proactive approach reflects a strong commitment to reconciliation and inclusive healthcare.
