Dr. Cyril Coupal is a seasoned computer science professional with extensive teaching and research experience. He received his PhD in computer science with specialization in data science and machine learning.

Dr. Coupal taught computer science at the University of Saskatchewan and Computer Systems Technology program courses at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. In November 2016, he joined Digital Integration Centre of Excellence (DICE) as a research manager where he has worked on various projects, all of which contain strong data and machine learning components. His research interests lie in cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, drones, graph databases and the Internet of Things.

Notably, Dr. Coupal has made significant contributions to the field of applied research, including his pending journal submission, Detection of Lentil Grading Factors using Machine Learning (2024).

Outside of academia, he enjoys pellet grilling, flower arrangement, playing the accordion and stained glass art.

Dr. Reza has a PhD in mechanical engineering, focusing on energy conversion, from the University of Tabriz, Iran (2011). He also holds an M.Sc. in mechanical engineering with a specialization in energy conversion from Amirkabir University of Technology (2004).

He began his career as a mechanical engineer in 2006 and has since developed expertise in energy conversion, thermofuids, computational modeling and computer vision. His research interests include:

• Renewable energy systems
• Improvement of energy systems' performance
• Reduction of water consumption in industrial processes
• Particulate flows

Dr. Reza currently serves as a senior research associate at Digital Integration Centre of Excellence (DICE) at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. Previously, he was a faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Azarbaijan Shahid Madani University, Iran (2011-2019) and worked as a scientific consultant for Alikan Farayand Co., Iran (2016-2019).

He has published more than 50 research papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings and holds two patents. Dr. Reza has supervised more than 50 graduate and undergraduate students and was awarded the Outstanding Faculty Member for the 2013-14 academic year at Azarbaijan Shahid Madani University.

In his personal life, he enjoys hiking and classical music.

Dr. Bevish has her PhD in computer science and engineering with a focus on cybersecurity. Her research interest encompasses a broad spectrum including artificial intelligence (AI), computer vision, large language models, medical imaging, and cyber security. She has made significant contributions to addressing challenges in data privacy, system security and building AI models. Additionally, she has academic teaching experience guiding graduate and undergraduate students in AI and related fields, emphasizing practical learning.

Dr. Bevish currently serves as a research associate at Digital Integration Centre of Excellence (DICE), at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. She has published more than 50 research articles in journals and conference proceedings indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.
