Women of Steel Welding Intro (CEXP-1619)

The Women of Steel Introduction to Welding Program (IWP) is designed to support, inspire and encourage young woman with hands-on training to spark an interest in the welding trade. This program is free of charge, made possible by the CWB Welding Foundation, and will take place at Regina campus. Daily activities include classroom and hands-on training in wire fed welding process called Metal Core Arc Welding (MCAW) in addition to safety, basic hand tools, and cutting and grinding techniques. All welding equipment including PPE will be provided free of charge to participants. Eligibility If your answer is yes to the following questions, then you are qualified to join the camp. Are you a female and 18 – 25 years old? Are you willing to learn a new skill? Do you have an aptitude for working with your hands? Are you willing to commit to four days in class and shop training delivered in English? Note: Maximum capacity is 12 students. Register early to guarantee your spot.
