Sexual Assault Examiner (NURS-1698)
The goal of this sexual assault examiner course is to provide registered nurses and advanced practice nurses with the knowledge, skills, and judgment to provide competent, comprehensive, patient-centered, coordinated care to adolescent/adult patients being evaluated for sexual assault, or suspected of having been sexually assaulted. This course is based on the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Education Guidelines developed by the International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN, 2018) and adapted to reflect the current Canadian context.
