This 78 hour course focuses on persons working as building operators and persons interested in improving skills and knowledge of commercial and institutional facilities in which they are in charge of steam or hot water boilers, refrigeration equipment, pumps and heating systems. Water treatment and quality control in boilers and cooling systems is also covered. Several labs are conducted to reinforce classroom work. This course is intended to prepare students to write the Technical Safety Authority of Saskatchewan(TSASK) Fifth Class exam, Successful course completion earns students 6 months qualifying time credit but an additional 6 months is required before TSASK certificate is awarded.
