On Farm Pesticide Safety (PEST-1604)

You will learn to recognize the risks associated with using pesticides and identify the appropriate personal safety equipment to use. You will develop safe pesticide handling procedures to protect yourself and the environment. This course will provide information on proper procedures for the safe use and handling of pesticides being applied on a farm. This course is designed for professional farm operators and farm employees who apply and handle pesticides. This course does not meet the requirements for commercial pesticide applicators who apply pesticides as a business. If you apply pesticides commercially, you are required to take the Commercial Agriculture Pesticide Applicator’s course and apply for pesticide applicator license.
