Mood Disorders (NURS-1633)
Mood disorders may present at any time during client care or the nursing health assessment process. Nurses must be equipped with the knowledge required to recognize the different types of mood disorders in order to assist in providing timely and relevant care.
In this course you will begin by describing the classifications used to define mental health illnesses. You will explore depressive and bipolar disorders including symptomology, appropriate nursing interventions, and common treatments used for each category.
Prerequisite: LPN/RN (You will be required to provide your license number at the time of registration.)
