Machining Bootcamp (MACH-1814)

This one-day workshop will provide you with an opportunity to learn about the Machinist Trade and consider it as a career choice. Machinists make many diverse things: the molds for your car tires and the die-cast that set the plastic for your cell phone. The Machinist trade is a key to manufacturing everywhere! Machinists set up and operate tools to cut or grind metals into precision parts or products that we use every day like the gears and shafts in your car's transmission, or the moving parts on your bicycle. They also make the machines that make many things that we use every day. Come out to Saskatchewan Polytechnic and have a great day finding out more about becoming a machinist. If you are the inventor type, you will love it! Target audience is 15 yrs and up.
