This essential first course in lathe work will provide experience in selection and preparation of lathe tooling, shop safety, precision measure, and speed and feed calcula- tions. The project work will provide ample hands-on experi- ence in the following: rough and finish turning, parting, facing, drilling, tapping, taper cutting with compound rest, boring and turning with carbide.
