GED(R) Preparation (GED-1500)
Gaining a GED can provide you with an alternative high school standing. Completing your GED may help you qualify for a better job or gain admittance to some post-secondary institutions. General information about the GED is at www.saskatchewan.ca. The course offers practice tests and instruction in the five subject areas of the test: Language Arts Writing, Language Arts Reading, Social Studies, Science, and Mathematics. Attendance is required on the first two evenings when the predictor tests are written. To register, schedule, or pay for GED tests, please create an account at www.ged.com and follow the instructions.
All courses are delivered remotely. Moose Jaw, Prince Albert, Regina, and Saskatoon residents may enroll in any of the courses listed. A laptop or desktop computer with internet access is necessary to participate. Regular, virtual attendance during scheduled course hours is required. The courses are not independent study. Attendance is mandatory the first night of classes. Make sure you set up your Sask Polytechnic account well in advance of your first class. Please see our Evening Programming page for upcoming course availability.
