Finish Carpentry (CARP-1810)
Finish Carpentry 101 (3 hours)
Learn the basics of interior finish carpentry including the installation of interior doors and basic baseboard and casing. Led by a Journeyperson Sask Polytech Carpentry Instructor you will spend 3 hours learning fundamental safety practices and proper tool usage. You will also gain practical experience installing a pre-hung door complete with casing. Other types of interior finishing will be discussed, such as paneling and crown molding.
Closed toed shoes are required. Ear plugs and safety glasses will be provided. No loose or baggy clothes may be worn. Long hair must be tied back. This course is open to anyone 16+.
