You will study secondary hemostasis and fibrinolysis. You will learn to perform, assess and correlate common screening tests used to detect and monitor treatment of hemostasis disorders. This course includes a theory and application review of prothrombin time and activated partial thromboplastin time tests. The course also discusses thrombotic risk, fibrinolysis, alternative anticoagulants, thrombin time test and D-dimer validation.
