Caring for Older Adults (HLTH-1622)

Becoming a caregiver for an aging family member can be very overwhelming, accompanied by feelings of uncertainty and isolation. This course is designed to provide you with valuable information that can help you adapt to the role, developing your confidence through organization. You will learn tips on how to effectively assist your family member with various challenges including financial planning, navigating the health care system, preparing appropriate living arrangements, and end of life care considerations. Throughout the course you will receive advice on searching out information and resources that are relevant to your own situation. You will also have access to a course facilitator who can help guide you along the way. If you are new to the caregiver role for an elderly family member or struggling to adapt to the role, this course is for you!
