Canada Ozone Protection (AIR-1601)
All individuals who handle refrigerants, or service refrigeration equipment must become certified by attending an approved 1 (one) day Environmental Awareness Training Course. The HRAI/Environment Canada Ozone Layer Protection Awareness training course is recognized nationally and delivered by a Sask Polytech HRAI Certified Instructor.
Topics covered include: The Code of Practice; CFC's and the Ozone Layer; Minimizing Emissions; Global Efforts to reduce; CFC/HCFC/HFC Emissions; Recommended Standard Practices; The Significance of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry; Commercial/Industrial Systems; Residential Systems; Domestic Appliances; Mobile Systems; Summary of Current Federal Regulations on CFC and Halons; Recovering, Reusing, Recycling, and Reclaiming Technologies; Provincial Regulations; Supplementary Information for the Recommended Standard Practices.
