Bioplastic Processes (MANU-1804)

Students will learn plastic processing technologies. They will also learn how to process plastic and bioplastic by using extruder, injection molding, rotational molding, compression molding and ancillary processing equipment for product development. The student will learn to select the right processing equipment, processing operational parameters, for bioplastic product development. They will learn personal protection, safe operation, process safety, hazard identification & communication, monitoring and maintenance of processing equipment. Laboratories will allow students to gain a practical understanding of processing equipment and function.
