Admission Process for Part-time Programs

Saskatchewan Polytechnic offers a number of programs on a part-time basis through Flexible Learning.

In some cases, individuals must apply and be accepted to the program prior to their first course registration, In other cases, students may take courses without application to the program, but must apply and be accepted prior to the clinical or practicum. There are also a few part-time program offerings for which application is not relevant. Students may take all courses in the program, then apply to graduate once done.

Courses fill up quickly; we recommend that you register as early as possible. With registration, the full tuition amount is charged to your account, and related policies concerning transfers and withdrawals are immediately in effect. See Tuition and Fees Policy 1214.

If you are seeking a student loan, we recommend that you apply for a loan at least 8 weeks before the start of your first course. This will ensure that your loan is processed, approved, and received by your scheduled course start date. Provide us with a list of the courses you are registering in, with their PIC numbers, and we will calculate your course load percentage to determine your eligibility for a student loan, and provide you with the results. Once you have completed your student loan application, contact Enrolment Services at the related campus to request that we complete the Educational Institute portion of the application, and we will return the completed portion to you by email.

When your student loan is confirmed, we will request that the tuition amount be issued directly to Sask Polytech. If your loan is not approved or does not cover the full amount, you will be responsible to pay the outstanding tuition balance on your account.

Application is not relevant to the part-time deliveries of these programs. Students may take all courses in the program, and apply to graduate once they have successfully completed them.
