Purpose/intent:
- A scholarly teaching and learning initiative that enhances student learning, supports faculty and professional services staff growth and enriches the organization’s mentorship culture.
Responsibilities:
- Enhance quality student learning by supporting new faculty and professional services staff
- Communicate and disseminate information regarding mentorship initially to the Leslie and Irene Dubé School of Nursing, School of Health Sciences and ultimately to other Saskatchewan Polytechnic programs
- Collaborate with other Saskatchewan Polytechnic faculty teaching and learning initiatives (ILDC)
- Develop, implement and evaluate the formal mentorship program and activities
- Model and encourage (or promote and support) mentorship culture
- Promote scholarly mentorship activities and publish scholarly work
- Develop and encourage networking with others who are interested in mentorship
Reporting relationship:
- Leslie and Irene Dubé School of Nursing and School of Health Sciences deans
Membership participation and meetings:
- Open to all Leslie and Irene Dubé School of Nursing and School of Health Sciences faculty and professional services staff , ILDC and other invitees
- Quarterly meetings or at the call of the chair
- Dissemination of information to Leslie and Irene Dubé School of Nursing and School of Health Sciences faculty and professional services staff and ILDC through shared drives, division websites, Brightspace and e-mail
