The Office of Applied Research and Innovation (OARI) aims to attain excellence in applied research and training by ensuring an equitable, diverse and inclusive environment. We acknowledge that equity, diversity, inclusion and indigenization (EDII) should be a consideration in applied research partnerships and opportunities for students and researchers, and we are committed to reporting on EDII as it relates to research projects and funding.

We recognize these equity-deserving groups:

  • Indigenous peoples
  • 2SLGBTQI+ community
  • Persons with disabilities
  • Visible minorities/racialized persons
  • Women

We support Sask Polytech's Diversity and Inclusion Strategy through our work in applied research.

Our approach

The Office of Applied Research and Innovation's Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Indigenization Plan outlines the measures and strategic initiatives to achieve the equitable and inclusive participation of Indigenous, 2SLGBTQI+, persons with disabilities, Visible minorities/racialized persons and women in the Sask Polytech research ecosystem.
