On behalf of the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Board of Directors, congratulations on your convocation. We are honoured to join with your family and friends in acknowledging and celebrating this special day with you!

Convocation is an important milestone.  It is a testament to your exceptional talents and unwavering commitment to excellence.  Whether it be your academic success, professional advancement or personal triumph, your achievements serve as an inspiration to all those around you.

As you begin the next stage of your journey, we urge you to carry with you the Sask Polytech values: respect, integrity, sustainability, and excellence.  These values will serve you well, both in your careers and in life.

Your passion for learning and your quest for knowledge will not end here.  Life is a journey of continuous learning and there will always be new skills awaiting your mastery.

My Board colleagues and I hope that your relationship with Sask Polytech continues for many years to come.  We look forward to welcoming you again – as students, alumni, instructors, employers, mentors, parents, supporters and friends.

Again, our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on this important day.

Mitchell Holash Chair, Saskatchewan Polytechnic Board of Directors

Congratulations Class of 2024! You have accomplished what you set out to do. You are now a member of our Saskatchewan Polytechnic community; one that exists far beyond our institution’s doors. You are connected to an extensive cohort, bonded with others who pursued dreams just as you did, a community of over 150,000 alumni in every corner of this province, one spanning the globe.

The community you join has never been more important for professional and personal development.

Along with access to peers, you now have the power of experience, the satisfaction of perseverance and the ability to understand what the fresh faces in your program crave and need. As time and space permit, be for them what helped you as you attended Sask Polytech, and if you identify aspects that would have benefited you, be that.

Communities are mutual, and this one is easily identified by your shared experience. What better way to transition from these halls to the wider world than by knowing you do so as a member of an extensive alumni community bonded by overlapping experience and fueled by continued shared interests?

Being part of communities matters, regardless of whether we belong for personal fulfillment, career advancement or some combination of both. Whatever you seek as you leave today, pursue it knowing you do so as a lifelong member of the Sask Polytech community. Isn’t that something?

Kris Brown Associate Vice President, Advancement

Along with the academic tradition of black gowns, Saskatchewan Polytechnic grads wear v-stoles in the colour selected for each school. Other members of the platform procession wear the gown and v-stole, hood, or in some instances, a hat or mortarboard representing a credential they have received or the Saskatchewan Polytechnic v-stole that represents the school in which they teach.
