Be a Tourist in your Hometown - Explore Saskatoon!

• Ages 13-16 (Saskatoon)
• When you live somewhere, you don’t always experience it like a visitor would. Welcome to Saskatoon. Let’s have some fun! Participants will spend a week exploring everything Saskatoon has to offer. It is designed to get you moving and learning about its rich history and culture and all the fun activities that are available. Be prepared for anything as there will be guided hikes and mountain biking around the city as you sightsee and experience places, explore parks, play sports in top recreation facilities and meet people who will share their enthusiasm about your city. This camp has been designed by the Recreation and Tourism Management program at Sask Polytech and will give you the chance to see the job opportunities in this field of study. Please note that biking and swimming are part of the camp experience, and participants should be comfortable with these activities.

Kids Career Exploratory Camp

• Ages 11-13 (Regina)
• If you are entering grade 7 or 8 in the 2024-25 school year you can join this career exploration camp. This exciting camp will expose you to various career paths through fun, engaging and hands-on learning. Throughout the week, you will spend time on campus in various shops/classes, take field trips within the community, participate in interactive and thought-provoking activities and develop knowledge of various careers. The emphasis of this camp is for you to gain a better understanding of your own interests and expand your career thoughts for the future – all while doing so in a fun and safe environment.

Camp EMS (Full)

• Ages 9-15 (Regina)
• Ambulances, police cars, firetrucks – does that pique your interest? We hope it does because this camp is one that will have sirens blazing! This camp offers a hands-on experience for you to learn about the work paramedics, police officers and firefighters do every day in our community to keep us all safe. Come and have some fun and learn if this might one day be the career for you!

Construction Sampler (Full)

• Ages 9-12 and 12-15 (Regina)
• Welcome to our ultimate summer building adventure camp! Get ready for a thrilling exploration of craftsmanship and creativity as we kick off with shop safety. From there, embark on exciting and imaginative projects in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. Under the guidance of instructors, you will not only hone your skills in these trades but also delve into the fascinating world of the construction industry. The hands-on camp promises a week filled with learning, laughter, and the satisfaction of creating something truly special. Let the construction fun begin!

Explore Engineering Design and Drafting Technology: Summer Creators (Full)

• If you are passionate about creating, inventing, and bringing their ideas to life, then we have just the camp for you! This summer camp is designed to help you learn the foundational concepts of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and turn your imagination into reality. You will use  your creativity and technical skills to design, build, and test your projects. Plus, using computer aided drafting (CAD) software, you will have the opportunity to create 3D models and bring them to life in both the physical and digital world through 3D printing technology. • A hands-on introduction to auto mechanics and auto body work. You will have fun getting your hands dirty learning the basics of vehicle maintenance – from changing oil to changing a tire and checking fluids. You will also learn about minor collision damage and how it can be repaired. Prepare to get dirty and wear old clothes!

• Not sure if you are interested in robotics, coding, graphics or electronics? How about trying them all out! Join us for a week-long journey to experience the world of electronics and everything that includes. During the week you will dive headfirst into electronics, programming, robotics, 3D printing and automation. Each day will bring a new adventure to learn and explore!

• Engineering challenge! Spend five days with us learning that civil engineering is way more hands on than just calculations! Build towers and sandcastles while learning what gives them their strength, examine local water samples to find signs life, utilize GPS equipment to map your exact position and so much more. This is a great camp if you are curious and thirst to understand how the world works around you.

• Time for some heavy metal. Over the course of the week, you will learn the basics of building in the steel trades. Machining, welding and fabrication are all important aspects of creating anything possible with steel.

Registrations will be collected through an online form. Payment options will be emailed once the registration is complete and received by the summer camps team. 

Registrants can pay by credit card over the phone or in person by cash/debit at the Regina and Saskatoon Sask Polytech campuses. Instructions on how to pay will be included in the confirmation email received after the registration form is complected and received.

Refunds will be issued for camp cancellations received up to seven calendar days prior to the first day of the camp. You can opt to transfer the full amount to another camp depending on space availability. No refunds or transfers after the withdrawal deadline. 

While Sask Polytech hopes to provide the camp as listed, there are some circumstances that cannot be avoided, and a camp may be cancelled. If Sask Polytech cancels the camp, a full refund will be provided to the registrant.
