I-CAR Canada Individual Platinum Courses

Saskatchewan Polytechnic provides flexible learning solutions to meet your needs as an Auto Body professional.

Sask Polytech has put together packages for all of the required roles necessary to achieve Gold Class status along with the other roles should you be interested in completing all of the platinum training available.

Receive a Sask Polytech Certificate of Completion, and I-CAR Canada Individual Platinum status for each course.

I-CAR Courses

You can take more than one course simultaneously. Courses are blended delivery, meaning there are both online training and practical shop components.

Improve your understanding of the equipment, materials and techniques for making non-structural repairs to passenger vehicles. This 40-hour, blended-delivery course is for experienced technicians.

Course hours: 40 hours
Cost: $2,925

Improve your understanding in estimating for collision repair. This 50-hour, blended-delivery course is for experienced estimators.

Course hours: 50 hours
Cost: $4,025

Improve your skills and understanding in paint preparation, planning and application. This 30-hour, blended-delivery course is for experienced auto paint refinishers.

Course hours: 30 hours
Cost: $2,010

Improve your skills, understanding and practical technique in automotive structural steel repairs to passenger vehicles. This 50-hour, blended-delivery course is for experienced technicians.

Course hours: 50 hours
Cost: $5,240

Advance your knowledge and ability to analyze damage and plan required repairs on drivetrains, suspension, electronics, restraint systems, braking and steering systems and heating/air conditioning systems. This 50-hour blended-delivery course is for experienced technicians.

Cost: $3,625

Expand your knowledge and ability to work with aluminum in structural applications. This 30-hour blended-delivery course is for experienced technicians. The Auto Body Structural Steel Technician course is a prerequisite.

Cost: $2,875

Advance your understanding of the planning and production processes of a modern collision repair facility.

Course hours: 40 hours
Cost: $2,595

Canada-Saskatchewan Job Grant

Sask Polytech and I-CAR have partnered together and have composed packages that meet the guidelines for the Canada Saskatchewan Job Grant application process through Sask Polytech. Shop employers may be eligible to receive funding to train their employees through this program which can cover up to two thirds of the total cost of the training program. In addition, employers with fewer than 50 employees may be eligible for wage compensation if the employee is paid to complete the training.
