As an international student, to work in Canada after you graduate, you need a work permit.
Graduates of Saskatchewan Polytechnic may be eligible for a post-graduation work permit (PGWP) to stay in Canada temporarily to work.

On November 1, 2024, significant changes were made that affect new applicants to the PGWP Program. Not all programs of study make you eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program. The eligibility information below has not been confirmed by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

Eligible programs

The programs listed below may meet the current eligibility criteria for the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program. Enrolment in a program at Sask Polytech that is PGWP-eligible does not guarantee PGWP approval by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

It is the student’s responsibility to ensure they meet all eligibility requirements as outlined by IRCC.

Program eligibility to be determined

The programs listed below are currently being assessed and may become PGWP-eligible in the near future. This list will be updated as eligibility is determined.
