Saskatchewan Polytechnic continues partnership with Taegu Science University

January 31, 2022 – Saskatchewan Polytechnic and Taegu Science University in South Korea recently renewed their partnership to continue international education and collaboration opportunities between the two institutions. Sask Polytech and Taegu Science University will continue to share expertise with each other in areas of mutual interest.

This renewed agreement will also provide future international education and development opportunities for students and faculty to study and teach abroad. Since the initial meeting in 2019 Sask Polytech and Taegu Science University have partnered on two virtual exchanges for Taegu Science University students in the health sciences. Using Zoom, students were provided knowledge and skills related to health-care culture, including language and communication for interacting with patients, their families and health professionals within the Canadian health care context.

“I look forward to our continued collaboration with Taegu Science University and the many ways in which we’ll work together to achieve student success,” says Dr. Larry Rosia, Sask Polytech president and CEO. “This renewed partnership supports our internationalization strategy by creating significant opportunities for student and faculty exchanges, study abroad, applied research and joint curriculum development.”

Dr. Jay Jieun Park, Taegu Science University president says, "We are doing our best to provide students with various opportunities to explore global careers and to grow into professionals with global competencies in partnership with Saskatchewan Polytechnic."

With the renewal of the agreement, both institutions hope to enhance the current relationship and expand opportunities in the areas of curriculum development, joint research, faculty and student exchange and collaboration on conferences, symposia and seminars.

Saskatchewan Polytechnic is signatory to the SDG Accord. Sustainable Development Goal alignment is one of the ways Sask Polytech is leading the rise of polytechnic education.
