Saskatchewan Polytechnic understands the importance of physical wellness in fostering a healthy and balanced lifestyle for both our students and staff. To kick off the new year, Fitness and Recreation is thrilled to introduce the January Saskatchewan Expedition Virtual Fitness Challenge to help promote physical fitness and well-being.

How many km can you and your friends walk, cycle, row or climb? This team initiative is designed to engage you in a fun and motivating way by turning our 808 km campus-to-campus loop into a fitness challenge.

Your goal is to log how many kilometers you and your teammates travel—whether in real life in your runners or on a bike, or virtually at the gym or by tracking steps!

Choose up to five teammates (or compete by yourself!) to try to complete the distance of the entire route as a team over the month of January.

Expedition route

Starting in Regina and going in a loop, the distance between Sask Polytech’s four campuses is approximately 808 km – or 161 km/person for a five-person team.

1 km = 1,500 steps / 1 km cycling / 100ft climbing / 1 km rowing
