Gail says that one of the best parts of being a student at Sask Polytech is the positive atmosphere.
"I don't have just one favourite memory. My time at Sask Polytech has been an incredible experience," says Gail, a Métis woman. "I am a mature, 55-year-old woman who is proud of herself for going back to school. Everything I learned and everyone I met are part of my journey and I value all of it."
This is not the first time Gail has been a Sask Polytech student — she graduated from a cosmetology program in 1991. This time around, Gail says that the more experience she gets the more she feels like the sky is the limit.
"I would not change a thing about my past," says Gail. "All I have experienced has put me where I am today. I have no regrets and live my life peacefully and to its fullest."
She says that if she had any advice for future students, of any age, it would be the following.
"Be true to yourself, dream big and follow your own path," says Gail. "Set goals and work towards them. Work hard, because there will be challenges. Always dance to the beat of your drum! Live, laugh, love!"
