January 20, 2026 – Saskatchewan Polytechnic is introducing a new degree program designed to meet the growing demand for data-driven professionals. The Bachelor of Business Analytics and Decision Science allows students to build on their post-secondary education, completing a four-year degree with just two additional years of study.

The program equips students to transform complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions. Learners will develop advanced analytical, technical and problem-solving skills for careers across multiple industries. Hands-on learning is central to the program, with courses in data visualization, programming and business analytics applications, and an applied research capstone project in the final year.

"Data is the new currency in today’s economy, and organizations need professionals who can transform information into strategic decisions," says Kristen Craig, dean for the Faculty of Business and Management. “This degree equips graduates with the skills to thrive in a data-driven world and translate data into meaningful insight that strengthens performance and drives innovation.”

Students will learn to leverage data to improve areas such as sales and marketing, customer service, operational efficiency and strategic planning. From analyzing trends and forecasting future outcomes to evaluating options, graduates of the Bachelor of Business Analytics and Decision Science program will help organizations make informed, accurate decisions that lead to better results.

Courses are offered in the evening, giving learners the flexibility and convenience to pursue their degree while working. Domestic students can choose to attend classes in person at Regina campus or virtually. International students are welcome to take their course in person at Regina campus. Admission requirements include completion of a minimum two-year business-related, information communication technology-related or engineering-related diploma with at least 60 credits and a 60 per cent overall average, or equivalent.
