Saskatchewan Polytechnic uses an emergency notification system to quickly send out critical information in the event of an emergency or campus closure. The emergency notification system includes: email, social media, VoIP phone, desktop notification and the mobile Alertus smartphone app.
The Alertus smartphone app allows users to receive push notifications to their Android or iOS tablets or smartphones. The Alertus app is easy to install and can be downloaded from the Google Play store or iOS App store. This app is important as it will allow students, faculty and staff to receive emergency notifications and campus closure messages in a timely manner.

The Health, Safety and Security team oversees Campus Safety and Security, administers Sask Polytech's Emergency Response Notification System and provides education and leadership in the emergency planning and response and personal safety. The health, safety and security of students and employees is of utmost importance for Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
