
Annual business and industry dinner presented by Graham Group Ltd. hosted in Regina tonight
At this year’s dinner, presented by Graham Group Ltd., Sask Polytech is sharing some
big accomplishments. Research InfoSource Inc. recently ranked Sask Polytech at #1
for largest percentage of research revenue from industry and #10 for growth in research
revenue. Dinner guests will also be hearing from Civil Engineering Technology alumnus
Bruce Gilkes. Since graduating in 1987, Bruce’s career journey has been unique — he’s
been a commanding officer in the Canadian Forces and is now the president and chief
technology officer of one of Canada's Top 40 defense companies, C4i Consultants Inc.
“We continue to see success, through the accomplishments of our alumni, employer partnerships
and applied research projects. We are building vital connections in our communities
and with employers that encourage experiential learning and collaborative research,”
says Dr. Larry Rosia, Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s president and CEO. “Our success is
achieved with relevant and responsive programming and the strong support of industry.
The Business and Industry Dinners are a great example of how Sask Polytech brings
alumni, students and employers together to benefit all involved.”

Funds raised through the events support scholarships and bursaries for Sask Polytech
students. To date, the value of scholarships and bursaries supported by the event
and given to students totals more than $1.5 million.
