KNOW, or Knowledge and Networking Opportunities for the Workplace, is an engaging
full-day professional development event designed to help students develop the essential
skills and everyday workplace competencies required for career success and in demand
by employers. At KNOW, you’ll connect with and learn from community leaders, industry
experts, Sask Polytech alumni and each other!

What to expect
KNOW is a free, full-day, in-person event. By registering, you’ll gain access to professionals
and experts who will share their experience and insight on a variety of topics such
as lifelong learning, interpersonal skills, professionalism, creativity and intercultural
fluency. As you prepare to enter the workforce, get in the KNOW firsthand from employers

Biography
×Scott Schultz
Born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Scott Schultz made his mark as a football player
at the University of North Dakota. He was the first overall draft pick in the 2001
CFL College Draft, amassing 178 career tackles and 41 quarterback sacks throughout
his impressive CFL journey. A proud member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, he contributed
to the team’s triumphant 2007 Grey Cup Championship. After retiring from football
in August 2009, Scott channeled his passion for leadership and teamwork into building
a successful local insurance company. He remains actively engaged in his community,
sharing life lessons, fostering connections, and advocating for lifelong learning.
Cody Demerais

×Cody Demerais
Cody Demerais is a proud Métis, family man and the 2021 ABEX Award Winner for Young
Entrepreneur of the Year. He has transformed life’s challenges into a platform for
empowerment as an entrepreneur, life coach and motivational speaker. Cody frequently
travels to communities to lead life improvement workshops, sharing his story to inspire
others to live a limitless life. When not traveling, he focuses on being a present
and devoted father and husband, embracing his family role with dedication.
