And on December 12, 2017, Sask Polytech, the Regina Police Service (RPS) and STARS came together through a simulated armed intruder exercise that saw each agency achieve a number of learning objectives.

    Partnership is launched for the first bilingual practical nursing program in Saskatchewan Collège Mathieu and Saskatchewan Polytechnic sign a memorandum of understanding November 29, 2017 – A partnership between Collège Mathieu and Saskatchewan Polytechnic has resulted in exploration of the delivery of the first and only bilingual Practical Nursing program in Saskatchewan. Today a memorandum of understanding was signed to formalize this partnership. A bilingual option will prepare Licensed Practical Nurses to provide health care services in Francophone communities.

    Saskatchewan Collaborative Nursing program expands to North Battleford Saskatchewan Polytechnic and the University of Regina are committed to educating nursing students across the province October 25, 2017 – A partnership between North West College, Prairie North Health Region, Saskatchewan Polytechnic and the University of Regina has resulted in the expansion of the Saskatchewan Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing (SCBScN) program to North Battleford.

It focuses on patient priorities and outcomes and includes patients as active collaborators throughout the research process. “Patient-oriented research engages patients as partners and improves patient outcomes,” says Dr. Susan Blum, associate vice-president, Applied Research and Innovation. “This innovative, applied approach aims to improve Saskatchewan’s healthcare systems and practices.”
