Honouring those who make a lasting difference through generosity and partnership

Saskatchewan Polytechnic is proud to recognize donors and partners whose extraordinary generosity continues to shape our communities. Each year, we join in celebrating National Philanthropy Day by shining a spotlight on individuals and organizations whose commitment to giving makes a profound impact.

Observed across Canada on November 15, National Philanthropy Day unites leaders, fundraisers, businesses, and community members in honoring the spirit of generosity that strengthens our society. The events are hosted by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) – South Saskatchewan Chapter and the Saskatoon Chapter. This year, we extend our heartfelt congratulations and deepest gratitude to our nominees and award recipients for their unwavering dedication to philanthropy and the positive change they inspire.

Honoured Support Award – Westridge Construction Ltd.

The Westridge Construction story is rooted in Saskatchewan, where for more than 35 years, they have combined craftsmanship with giving back to the community.

Westridge Construction has been a valued partner with Saskatchewan Polytechnic for the past 15 years. Their recent gift to Saskatchewan Polytechnic reflects that spirit. They are opening doors with an investment in carpentry student awards, while also making a significant contribution to help create the new Joseph A. Remai Saskatoon Campus.

Guided by Leon Friesen and Colin Olfert, Westridge shows that true leadership means lifting others, investing in our shared communities, and building a future where skilled trades thrive.
