Dinner connects business and industry with Moose Jaw students
Presented by Graham Group, Sask Polytech’s Business and Industry Dinner provides networking opportunities and raises funds for student awards
December 6, 2018 – Saskatchewan Polytechnic Business and Industry Dinners presented by Graham Group provide a valuable applied learning opportunity for students to build networks for their future careers. Employers in attendance are provided the opportunity to meet with potential future hires. This year’s keynote speakers are Business Administration program alumni Ken and Angela McDougall. The McDougalls are fourth generation farmers who have turned their family farm, McDougall Acres, into an independent seed retailer business offering seed treatment, cleaning and colour sorting services.
Proceeds from the Business and Industry Dinners help fund Sask Polytech’s student awards program and provide more students with access to financial assistance. To date, the value of scholarships and bursaries supported by the event and given to students totals more than $2 million. Over 1,000 business and industry professionals, alumni, faculty and students are expected to attend the 2018 provincial dinner series.
In addition to networking opportunities, attendees will get to hear about some of Sask Polytech’s recent accomplishments. Thanks to our focus on applied research over the past few years, Sask Polytech ranks No. 6 on the 2018 list of Canada’s Top 50 Research Colleges in terms of research income growth.
