More than 80 employers are expected to attend the Saskatoon campus career fair

January 30, 2018 – Between January 31 and February 14, each Saskatchewan Polytechnic campus will host a career fair to connect students and future graduates with potential employers. The Saskatoon campus career fair is January 31, 2018.

“Sask Polytech graduates are known for their impressive skills, unwavering work ethic and ability to provide value to any company,” says Dr. Larry Rosia, president and CEO of Saskatchewan Polytechnic. “94 per cent of our grads remain in Saskatchewan and 97% of employers affirm they would hire a Sask Polytech grad again. Our alumni are a major driving force behind our province’s growing economy.”

“The career fair allows employers to connect directly with the students looking for work,” says Rhonda Kitsch, Sask Polytech student employment services coordinator. “It’s an amazing networking opportunity and for many students, it’s an important step towards achieving their career dreams.”

Benefits of Saskatchewan Polytechnic career fairs include:

  • Employers have the opportunity to meet students and showcase their company through information sessions.
  • Students and grads have the opportunity to network with potential employers in an informal setting.
  • Employers have the opportunity to make students more aware of their hiring requirements.

This year’s career fair, presented by Nutrien (formerly PotashCorp), is organized by the Saskatoon campus Student Employment Services (SES) office. There is an SES office at each of Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s four main campuses. SES bridges the gap between students and employers, and assists students with resume writing, interview prep and job searching.
