When you stop and think about it there are many things that machinists make. They are in demand in nearly every industry such as the oil patch to manufacturing to food processing plants. This program is key for someone who is good with their hands, loves to be creative and pays attention to detail.

Machinists operate tools and equipment to cut or grind metals into precision parts or products. This program teaches you skills such as blueprint reading, precision measuring, CNC operations, drilling, grinding, heat treatment, lathe operations and much more.

Come out to Saskatchewan Polytechnic and have some fun finding out more about becoming a machinist. This workshop will be a hands-on opportunity to build an item and use our equipment to bring it to life, all while learning about how to apply, student awards and our education opportunities. Don’t miss your chance to learn about our one-year program designed to launch you into a new and exciting career!

Lunch is provided.
