Welcome to the Faculty of Nursing, Health Sciences and Community Services at Saskatchewan Polytechnic.

The mission of our faculty is wide in scope, but always focussed on one essential principle: we prepare students with the professional skills they need to take extraordinary care of our community. Sask Polytech nursing graduates are known for their high standards of practice, ethical behaviour and excellent hands on skills. We train tomorrow’s health care professionals to effectively navigate Canada's complex health care system, to serve an aging population, and to keep pace with rapidly evolving medical technologies. We also equip students with the skills and knowledge needed for careers with children, youth and individuals with disabilities.

Our faculty offers learners the chance to continuously expand their knowledge and skills throughout their lives, allowing them to adapt to changing environments and pursue their passions. There are many lifelong learning opportunities in our faculty that foster critical thinking and empower learners to broaden their expertise, such as critical care, perioperative and emergency nursing, advanced care paramedicine and dental therapy. Upon completion of programs, lifelong learners can pursue further education through various micro-credentials and post-graduation certificates.

Students in our faculty are often afforded the opportunity to partner with industry to conduct applied research. It’s rewarding work, aligned closely with our polytechnic’s commitment to hands-on learning, that allows students to build partnerships and solve real-world problems as they learn.

I’d like to encourage you to learn more about the extraordinary range of learning opportunities available to you in the Faculty of Nursing, Health Sciences and Community Services by continuing to explore our website. If you’re passionate about a career in caring for your community, Saskatchewan Polytechnic is an amazing place to begin your journey.
