Building on the skills and knowledge that you have developed through
your courses, you will be introduced to the role of the early childhood
educator in a practical setting. You will use the skills developed in previous
courses to observe and record the behaviour of children, to interact with
children and adults in a supportive and positive manner, and to guide
children’s behaviour using positive guidance strategies.
You must be assessed for practicum readiness by practicum advisor prior to registration.
