Your foundations clinical experience will take place in a health information management department. You will learn the concepts of coding and focus on basic health record procedures including chart assembly and quantitative analysis.

Notes: Students are not permitted to take CLIN161 and CLIN 257 in the same semester. Students must complete CLIN 161 prior to beginning CLIN 257. Students are required to arrange a clinical experience with the aid of the course facilitator, in a Saskatchewan Polytechnic approved workplace. You must have access to a computer with an operating system of Windows XP or higher. High speed internet is necessary. Travel may be required for the clinical placement.
