Your foundations clinical experience will take place in a health information
management department. You will learn the concepts of coding and focus
on basic health record procedures including chart assembly and quantitative analysis.
Students are not permitted to take CLIN161 and CLIN 257 in the same semester. Students must complete CLIN 161 prior to beginning CLIN 257. Students are required to arrange a clinical experience with the aid of the course facilitator, in a Saskatchewan Polytechnic approved workplace.
You must have access to a computer with an operating system of Windows XP or higher. High speed internet is necessary. Travel may be required for the clinical placement.
