The course provides an overview of the current practices and procedures
of therapeutic recreation when working with individuals with physical and
cognitive disorders. The etiology, symptoms and characteristics of a
number of common physical and cognitive disorders will be examined.
You will then explore the impact that these disorders have on the individual and the role of therapeutic recreation services in supporting individuals.
