The Women in Trades Exploratory Workshop is a hands-on, one weekend workshop offering an introduction to a variety of basic plumbing and electrical skills. Upon successful completion of the workshop, you are issued a statement of attendance. The workshop provides women with: - Non-credit post-secondary training/education and employment potential in trades. - A realistic understanding of the physical, emotional, and academic requirements of training/education and employment in trades. Shop sessions include: - Plumbing - you will learn how to solder, install a faucet and toilet, and basic furnace and hot water heater maintenance. - Electrical - you will learn how to wire a light, a switch, and an electrical outlet.
