Victim Services Coordination

Victim Services Coordination is an applied certificate program that prepares students for employment/ continued employment with agencies providing services to victims of crime and other traumatic events. Your studies focus on case management, volunteer coordination, community partnerships, client service strategies, criminal justice, coordination of traumatic events, self-care.

You will develop employability skills through the study of interpersonal communications theory and applications in the workplace. Learning outcomes include the importance of self-awareness and self-esteem, perception problems, verbal and nonverbal messages, listening skills, creating positive communication climates and resolving interpersonal conflict.

The online course uses an asynchronous tool, allowing access to course material at any time convenient for the student. High-speed internet is recommended.
