Blue Seal Training for Trades Professionals
Are you already a journeyperson? Have you ever thought about moving up into a supervisory or management position or going into business, but did not know where to begin? Now there is an answer for you in the Blue Seal Training Program. The Blue Seal Training Program is for trades people that have a journeyperson certificate in a trade designated in Saskatchewan and would like to continue their training to prepare them to move into supervisory or leadership roles. The text book required for all APPB courses is MGMT (2nd Canadian Edition) by Williams, Champion and Hall.
In this course you will explore the world of management as it relates to
the trades. Trades professionals often have opportunities to move into
management positions and this course introduces you to the basic
principles of management.
In this course you will explore the principles and practical methods of
building teams. You will experience different models of team building and
some of the common tools used in coaching and mentoring.
In this course you will examine some of the basic principles of operations
for companies. You will explore some of the fundamental principles around
company structure and operations.
In this course you will explore leadership. Many people in trades are leaders and mentors. This course will help prepare you in your role as a leader.
Your studies will focus the goals, functions and roles of management. You
will focus on team building, leadership, and management principles. You
