Instruction focuses on Gas installations and applications with gas loads over the 400,000 BTUH. Pre-requisite is Journeyperson status in the Plumbing or Pipefitting trade, along with a Saskatchewan Domestic Gas endorsement. Upon successful completion of this program, students can then apply to the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship branch for eligibility to write the provincial gas exam for Commercial gas certification.

Additional costs may be the CSA B149.1-15, B149.2-15, and B149.3-15 Gas Code books, Saskatchewan Supplements B149.1-15 and B149.2-15, and B149.3-15. As well as Dutto's "Industrial and Commercial Gas Burner Systems". If you do not have current versions, you will be required to purchase for continuation into the course. You must register with the Apprenticeship Board at least one month prior to this course to write your exam. Please bring proper eye protection, work gloves, and work boots.

Course duration is 90 hours.
