When you stop and think about it there are many things that machinists make. Did you know that a machinist made the molds that made your car tires? Take a look at your cell phone; A machinist made the die-cast that set the plastic for that phone. Machinists are everywhere.
Machinists set up and operate tools to cut or grind metals into precision parts or products. They make things such as the die-cast to set the plastic for your cell phone case. They also make the molds to manufacture your car tires.
Come out to Saskatchewan Polytechnic and have a great day finding out more about becoming a machinist. There will be competitions to see who will be the maddest machinist.
Don't miss it! You might even win a prize! Lunch is provided.
