Test Centres

Each main campus has a Test Centre operated by the Library and Testing Services. These facilities are for students, faculty and staff, as well as the public.

Testing Centres:

  • Provide secure testing environments.
  • Administer ACCUPLACER tests ($25 per module).
  • Administer keyboarding tests.
  • Proctor services for other colleges, universities and agencies at a fee. You may use the booking system to book your tests.
  • Group testing for external agencies and organizations. Please contact us.

Saskatchewan Polytechnic Testing Services is a member of the National College Testing Association, an organization that focuses on issues surrounding testing in post-secondary institutions.

Book a Test

Online test booking is available in all four campus cities. To book a test or exam, select the campus of your choice to book online.

Be prepared before you book!

The booking system requires you enter the following information:

  • Instructor name and email
  • Name of class and course number
  • Name of your program
  • Date, time and length of your test
  • Type of test you are taking (mid-term, final, re-write, make-up) and if it is computer or paper-based.

It is your responsibility to read Information about Test Taking and the Academic Honesty requirements.

Your responsibilities before the test:

  • Book your appointment well in advance of your test. Book the length of time the test is scheduled to be, even if you believe you will not need the full allocation of time.
  • Ensure you enter the correct details about your test when booking it.
  • Provide a copy of your booking confirmation email to your instructor as soon as you receive it. If you do not provide your instructor with a copy of your confirmation email, your test may not be available for your scheduled time and it may not be possible to reschedule your test.
  • Read and ensure you understand Academic Honesty and the Statement of Understanding.
  • If you have fees to pay, we accept debit or credit card only. Fees must be paid at the Test Centre before you write your test. You must pay for the length of time allocated for your test.

Test day responsibilities:

  • Arrive at least 15 minutes before your test time.
  • Bring and show your photo identification. Acceptable ID includes:
    • Current employment ID
    • Driver's licence
    • Military ID
    • Passport
    • Saskatchewan Polytechnic student ID card
  • You will be asked to sign in.
  • When you are given your test, check that it is the correct one and ensure your name appears on the test.
  • The following items are NOT permitted in the Test Centre:
    • All personal electronic devices including wearable technology (smart watches, fitness trackers, etc.), cell phones, personal electronics, USB flash drives, recording/listening devices, cameras, laptops, tablets, etc.
    • Watches, jackets, hoods, hats (except for religious reasons) and sunglasses. You may be asked to turn out your pockets and your glasses may be subject to a visual inspection.
    • Books, bags, purses, backpacks, pencil cases, wallets and keys
    • Scents and fragrances.
    • Food and drink except water in a clear/transparent bottle without a label.
    • Outside notes, books and calculators unless approved by the instructor, or as an accommodation for a disability.
  • Scratch paper, pencils, pens and basic calculators (when approved) will be provided by the Test Centre. (Some calculators are allowed be brought in if approved by instructor.)
  • Be your own advocate. If you experience issues or concerns notify Test Centre staff as quickly as possible.
  • Late arrivals are not given additional time, you must still write your test within the allotted time that was scheduled. If you are more than ½ hour late and have an accommodation of a reader, scribe or private room that person will no longer be available to you for that test.
  • Unscheduled breaks are permitted only for restroom use. Access to personal belongings or permission to leave the building will not be granted for these breaks. Students who use a break will not receive additional time to complete the test. Repeated or lengthy departures from the Test Centre for unscheduled breaks will be reported to the instructors for their review. Only one student will be permitted a restroom break at a time.
  • Do not ask Test Centre staff to review your test answers as this compromises the security of the test.
  • Only people taking a test are allowed in the Test Centre. Test Centre staff cannot be responsible for children or adults who require care and/or supervision.
