Every Canadian province and territory recognizes that passing the GED® Test proves you have the knowledge and skills of a high school graduate. The GED® Test is a five-part, multiple choice and essay exam that tests your knowledge and skills in Language Arts Writing, Language Arts Reading, Social Studies, Science and Mathematics. The focus is not how well you remember specific facts, but on your ability to use given information to evaluate, synthesize and draw conclusions.
The GED® Test is delivered in a computer-based format, which means you can practice on your own computer. You will take the test at one of Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s GED® testing centres in Moose Jaw, Prince Albert, Regina or Saskatoon. The test fee is $35 USD (subject to change), or $7 USD for each module.
To write the test, you’ll need to register online. Just follow these steps:
- Go to ged.com and create a GED® CBT account.
- Register for the GED® Test using the Saskatchewan registration form.
- Schedule your GED® Test. You’ll see a list of possible dates.
- Pay the test fee. The cost is $7 USD per module/test or $35 USD for all five tests. Pay online using a credit card. You may also pay with a credit or debit card right at the Test Centre. Or you may pay with cash at the campus library.
- Remember that you MUST register online. Registrations cannot be taken at the Test Centres.
