LEAN Fundamentals Boot Camp - Two Day Workshop (CE_BD-1412)

This intensive two-day program equips students with the fundamentals of LEAN, from basic history and terminology to core tools and concepts. Students will apply their learning through practical activities and simulations so by the end of the course, students will: - recognize the right types of waste and how to identify them in their work; know common LEAN terms and acronyms and the principles of standarized work; have the basic skills needed to begin to explore the use of lean tools such as: value stream mapping, 5S methodology and Kanban systems in their work place; be better prepared to solve problems and improve workplace processes. The training days will be structured as follows: Day One: Introduction to LEAN theory and tools. Day Two: Advancing knowledge and group simulation. Location: Regina, Room 241.
