Bridging Option to Practical Nursing Program for Continuing Care Assistants
If you graduated from the Sask Polytech Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) program after 2000, you can bridge into the Sask Polytech Practical Nursing diploma program. By choosing the bridging option, you can reduce your program of study. After successfully completing APHY 162, SOCI 160 and all three completer courses for semester 1, you are eligible for PRAC 162 (Practicum 1) once you have applied to and are accepted into the program.
Sask Polytech Continuing Care Assistant graduates receive transfer credit for NURS 163 Personal and Professional Relationships for having completed the CCA courses COMM 291 Interpersonal Communication and COMM 197.
NURS 170 Nursing Arts 1 Completer, NURS 173 Health and Healing 1 Completer and NURS 174 Health Challenges add content that was not covered in the CCA program.
All applicants are required to meet the admission requirements of the Practical Nursing program.
